FAIL: Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Facial Towelettes Review

I apparently do NOT learn my lesson. All of the Yes To products have been total fails for me and this is no exception. I actually picked them up because I desperately needed to remove my makeup after school but didn't want to use the chemical filled products that we learn with. I kind of think they would have been better than this crap!

Description: Yes To Cucumbers Hypoallergenic Facial Towelettes gently remove dirt, sweat and makeup (eye makeup too!) without the need to rinse. Whether you're out and about, going for a run, or having a late night, these towelettes make it a snap to refresh on-the-go. Packed with green superfoods these all-natural, biodegradable towelettes naturally exfoliate, detoxify, and rejuvenate all-in-one. Stay gorgeous, and go from zero to clean in seconds!

CRAP! What else is there to say? Don't bother with these wipes because they are, say it with me, c-r-a-p. The price is right and they sound wonderful but they a. don't remove makeup all that well and b. burn my face so bad. It doesn't matter how gentle I am, my face feels like it's on fire and it turns bright red after using one of these. I also find the scent of these a little strong. For those of you sensitive to fragrances, avoid these like the plague. These were super disappointing wipes and I will never repurchase them, or another product from Yes To (I mean it this time!). I'll use these to clean dirty hands or spills until they're all gone.

Retails for $3.49 CAN for 10 wipes. I picked mine up at Shoppers Drug Mart but I think you can get them in most stores in the USA.

What do you think about the Yes To line? Love it or hate it?

  1. Haha love your very honest review. I haven't tried anything from the Yes To ranges as I'm not 100% happy with their ingredients. However, my Mum grabbed a shampoo in the sale and is loving it :)

I've heard some great reviews about the Yes To Carrots shampoo and conditioner but I refuse to purchase anything else! I'm glad your mum is enjoying it though xo

  2. I actually hated these as well! they burned my eyes and I have very sensitive skin! However there are many products from Yes To that are working great for my right now!
Yes to Blueberries wipes (they don't burn and take off my makeup, although i don't wear much),
Yes To Tomatoes- Acne spot stick, acne repairing lotion and the clearifying cleanser, and mask,
Yes To Cucumbers SPF 30 moisturizer, It's not crazy moisturizing but a good SPF :)

    Hope it helps! :)

  3. I don't understand how so many Yes To... products can win such big awards from top beauty magazines, because the ones I've tried have all been fails and many other bloggers I've chatted with have echoed the same sentiment!! :( I personally love the Giovanni towelettes, and they are natural and veggie-friendly to boot. I'm not sure if you can find them in Canada, though.

    1. Seriously! I laugh whenever I see an award label or sticker on their products. Giovanni wipes huh? I haven't seen them in Canada. We get everything late so maybe it'll come our way soon xo.

  4. I love this post! I always hear good things about Yes to skincare on Youtube, but most bloggers don't seem as smitten. I've only tried their tinted lip balms, but I do really like those :)

    1. Thanks chicky :). I swear they get paid to say good things lol. I remember you saying that about the tinted lip balms before, but I haven't seen them. I'd consider trying one ONLY because you like them :P

  5. I used to use these daily but they started making my cheeks all stingy so I had to stop. I haven't liked anything else from them either, the carrot moisturizer turned my face as red as my hair as soon as I applied it, and I had to rinse it off immediately! It really is crap!

    1. Omg wow, that's horrible! And that is why I never believe any positive reviews about the line lol.

  6. I agree these are not worth the price, no matter how low it is. I've also been using their Yes to Carrots shampoo/conditioner and it's just OK.

  7. Really? I have combination (one of the most annoying, very oily T zone and incredibly dry cheeks) skin on my face, and find that ok:
TRUTH - after use these wipes cause a bit of redness and burning sensation, I feel like this is due to sea salt / citric acid mixing ingredients. HOWEVER I use these after going to the gym and in the summer (oh the long sweaty days...) so about three-four times a week, and have had great results!
They totally reduced my break outs, and balance my skin (and trust me I have breakouts which look like meteorite showers on my forehead and chin). Butttt they definitely dry my skin a little, so applying moisturizer to cheeks for those who have combination skin is key. Otherwise this is the only product that I have actually been impressed with on the Yes To line.

    1. It's awesome that these have worked so well for you! Perhaps it's your skin type that makes it that much more effective. Thanks for sharing your experience so that others can read it! It's so important to have positive and negative feedback xo

  8. I like the pink grapefruit facial toilettes. I also really love the blueberry shampoo. It really made my damaged hair soft after one use...but it seemed the more i used it, the less it worked. like my hair built an immunity to it...:/
I like the seventh generation facial cloths too, but they go stale fast...
