Origins Quick, Hide™! Concealer Review

I'm a concealer freak and if I can find a concealer for under my eyes and face then that's a bonus. That doesn't make sense, or does it?  I prefer salmon/peach toned concealers for under my eyes and yellowish for blemishes and redness.  Sometimes, I can find one that works for both problem areas. I searched high and low for a salmon/peachy pink concealer that didn't cake or crease when applied under my eyes and I've found it!  Once again, I know it's not the most natural of concealers but the lack of availability of actual natural/organic brands forced me to go to Origins.  I am not disappointed in the performance of this concealer, just wish it was more natural.

Claim: Shadows, wrinkles and redness will never know what hid them. Soft-focus filters diminish fine lines and flaws. And the creamy, fix-it-and-forget-it coverage floats over skin with the greatest of ease. No creasing, no caking, no stuck-in-one-spot. Long-wearing. Heat and sweat resistant.
Oil-free. Ophthalmologist tested.

This comes in a plastic tube and it's so small which makes it great to carry in your clutch, purse, carry on, wristlet, pocket, you name it.  It is the perfect shade of peach for my blue under eye veins and covers my blemishes amazingly well too.  Although, I have to really blend it otherwise it looks kinda..muddy..too pinkish on my face.  I purchased it in light/medium and it's perfect sans tan or avec tan.  It's creamy and smooth, blends well, doesn't crease or cake and it's just awesome.  A little goes a long way.  I will definitely be repurchasing.

UPDATE (Aug 22/12): Origins is owned by Estee Lauder, which I just discovered, who performs animal testing. Being a vegetarian and against animal cruelty, I will no longer be purchasing from Origins. I will be doing better research going forward. Currently open to suggestions on new concealers, both yellow and pink/salmon based.

Retails for approx. $19 CAN for 7ml. Check out www.origins.com for more info. I purchased this at The Bay Yorkdale.

What's your holy grail concealer?

Ingredients:  will update once I buy a new one as I couldn't find it online

  1. Hi Nicole, I was wondering if you had tested any other "natural"concealer during the past few months. I tried so many, but they are all drying up in my cabinet... xx

    1. Hi Lilly!! I've been using Jane Iredale Disappear Concealer (http://ecochicbeautydiva.blogspot.ca/2012/10/jane-iredale-disappear-concealer-with.html) which I am not a huge fan of. I also picked up Zuzu concealer, a few days ago, which matches the Origins one perfectly in terms of colour but it's a little thicker. It creases a bit under my eyes but I'm still playing with it. What concealers have you been hiding in your cabinet?
