Sukin Hydrating Body Lotion Review

I have tried a product from every category available (to me) from the Sukin line; face care, hair care and now body care. My boyfriend actually picked up this lotion first and mentioned how hydrating and nice it smells.  Having had fairly good luck with their other products and at $7.99 CAN I couldn't resist picking one up as well!

Description: Restores the skins moisture balance by deeply nourishing to help soothe dry skin. Enriched with an infusion of aloe vera, nettle, horsetail and burdock combined with rosehip, avocado and jojoba oils to hydrate thirsty skin and improve skin elasticity

The Good:
  • dark coloured pump bottle
  • light enough to travel with
  • smells like all of their other products, delicious
  • hydrating
  • affordable
The Bad:
  • nothing bad to say
Verdict: I like it! I especially like the pump because when I already have lotion or oil on my hands, it's easier to pump instead of having to squeeze a bottle which can be such a pain. It smells really nice, and while the smell doesn't linger, I enjoy it for as long as it lasts. I have applied this lotion on complete dry skin and find it sinks in and hydrates way better on wet skin, so I leave this little gem in my bathroom for use when I get out of the shower. It's a nice thick lotion texture that glides on the skin effortlessly. I'm honestly not sure if my skin is way softer (including my elbows, knees and feet) because of just this lotion or if it's from exfoliating more frequently AND using this lotion but damn, my skin is baby soft y'all! I actually started feeling my skin as I was writing this review and was like, "wow, how come I didn't notice that my elbows aren't crusty anymore?!". I must add in, otherwise I'll get an ear full later, my boyfriend really likes this lotion.  He enjoys the smell and the hydration that it provides.  I got my eye on a few other lotions right now, therefore, I won't be repurchasing anytime soon. My boyfriend, on the other hand, will likely repurchase.

Retails for approx. $7.99 CAN and can be purchased at Nature's Emporium, as well as most health food stores I'm sure.  For more information, check out Sukin.

  1. I love this lotion, too! I haven't done my review yet but that's really it. I love it. :)

It's not that moisturizing for me but it's good enough to last me half a day without turning me into a oily mess and a scratching board. It's incredibly hot in SG and although I personally prefer a heavier body lotion, I just can't stand the sticky once I'm out of the house.

    1. I prefer heavier body lotions as well, especially since it's cold here in Canada BUT totally understand the sticky situation in warmer climates. I actually hate wearing lotions in the summer because of that feeling. So glad you're loving it though!

Your blog is fab, by the way, I'll keep an eye out for your review of this lotion. xo

  2. I love my Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Lotion with Frankincense and Myrrh. It's natural, super thick, really creamy and uber moisturizing. I buy it at Target fro $11 for a 13 oz bottle.

    1. I hope when Target comes to Canada, they carry all the same brands they have there! Either way, I'm hoping to hit up Target in Buffalo soon. Thanks for the suggestion!
