Favourites of 2014 - Part 3 (nom nom nom)

This is the last of my favourites for 2014 and it's a small selection of food related things. I debated on including beauty blogs, but it's so hard to pick which ones I enjoyed reading most because there are so many wonderful beauty blogs/bloggers.

I love food, like a lot, but love it even more when it's super easy to make. I always appreciate being able to find quick, simple, and easy to follow vegan/vegetarian/gluten free recipes. Although I'm not gluten free or vegan, I do try to eat that way as often as possible. What I love about the following books and blogs, is that the recipes are easily customizable.

Cook with Kindness by Chantal Coolen, Minimalist Baker, and The Simple Veganista are hands down some of my favourites for delicious, nutritious, and easy to make recipes. If you're vegan and like to challenge yourself a bit more when it comes to cooking, then Hot For Food is another fantastic one. I, personally, find HFF recipes (not all) require more steps than I'd like and ingredients that I don't usually buy. My goal is to make these damn delicious looking Cauliflower Buffalo Wings this year.

This is truly a random favourite but, I love the SEN CHA Green Tea Leaf Mints in Moroccan Mint. They're the perfect kick of mint, freshen your breath, and don't leave a gross sugary coating on your teeth. 2014 was the year of tea experimentation, I branched out from my well loved Pukka teas and decided to try different brands and flavours. Roasted Dandelion Root and Peppermint tea came out on top. Both are incredible for your digestive system, are comforting, and taste delicious.

That's it for my 2014 favourites, let me know what you loved last year!

Favourites of 2014 - Part 2

Welcome to Part 2 of my favourites of 2014! If you haven't already checked out Part 1, it's full of my skin, hair and body care loves.

I love makeup, not in the same way that a makeup artist loves makeup, but just how it enhances what's already there...or covers what you wish wasn't! This year I stayed true to old faves and discovered some new ones. The reason I never do looks of the day, is because it's rare that I try something different. I'll usually just change up my lippy or blush. I'm a creature of habit, what else can I say?

Base: It`s really no surprise that Sappho`s Liquid Foundation in Leisha is here. It's a beautiful foundation that makes me feel like I'm not wearing any makeup at all, it covers well, and it has great ingredients. My only problem is that it oxidizes a bit.

The next fave is the *Zuzu Luxe Dual Powder Foundation in D-10. I've only had this for a few months but I've reached for it every time that I've done my makeup. It offsets the oxidization of Leisha, provides a tad bit more coverage, and gives me a flawless complexion. I even love using it on its own when I just need to even out my skin. Full review to come.

Concealer: I haven't found one that works well for covering dark circles. I'm open to suggestions! I've heard Christopher Drummond is amazing, but (for some odd reason) I'm still on the fence about trying it.

Cheeks/Bronzer: I absolutely adore W3LL People's Universalist in #7. It's a super pigmented, deep cool toned pink cream blush that blends beautifully on the skin.

Next up we have a hybrid, Physicians Formula Organic Wear bronzer/blush. This is my go to when I want a bronzed rosey cheek without the effort of contouring and blushing. It isn't all that pigmented so there's no way of applying too much. It works with any eye and lip combo.

Lastly, we have Alima Pure Bronzer in Mauna Loa. I've had this bronzer for over two years now, it's insane how long this little jar has lasted. I love the warmth it gives, especially when I'm tanned and my foundation is a tad light, this evens it out. It can be built up or blended out for whatever intensity you're looking for.

Eye Primer: Again, I haven't had this product for long but reach for it every time I do my makeup. The *Gabriel Eye Primer in Neutral is amazing! It evens out the lid, intensifies each shadow, and keeps shadows from creasing for several hours.

Eye Shadows: As you can see, I've made quite a dent in the two pictured shadows. They are my daily go tos and I literally cannot be without them. They are Pure Anada Pressed Shadows in *Whisper and Burlap. I use Whisper all over the lid, including the inner corner and brow bone, as well as on my face to highlight (seriously!). Burlap is a fantastic crease and transition colour, it's a matte light brown/taupe shade. Love!

Mascara: This was a tough one for me but, the standouts (not pictured) were Pure Anada and Earthlabs.

Brows: Sante Eye Brow Pencil in No. 2 is my holy grail brow pencil. It's the perfect dark brown without any warm (aka reddish) undertones. It fills in sparse brows like a dream and lasts for months. If you have lighter brows, I recommend Zuzu Luze Brow Pencil in Russet.

Lips: Yet another product that I haven't had for too long but have reached for more than any other lip product. This *Gabriel Color Lipliner in Berry is stunning on its own, under a gloss, or under a lipstick. It's creamy, pigmented, and lasts for hours without budging. It's a beautiful soft pink that would flatter any skin tone.

Brushes: Although many people like to use their hands, I prefer to apply makeup with brushes. That being said, these were the most used for 2014. From top to bottom we have Ecotools Shadow BrushAlima Pure Crease/Blending BrushSigma Large Angled Contour Brush (used for blush), Sigma Large Powder Brush (used for bronzer), Real Techniques Multi Task Brush (used for powder), and the newest addition that I haven't been able to put down since getting it from Glam Goes Green is the *Real Techniques Powder Brush (used for powder).

Those are my makeup loves! Suggestions and your faves are always welcome, so leave them down below.

Favourites of 2014 - Part 1

In 2014, I really sucked with keeping up with favourites posts. Come to think of it, it was probably because I enjoyed all of these products throughout the year and hardly strayed. This post will be dedicated to my favourite skin, hair, and body care products of the year. There will be a part 2, dedicated to makeup, and a part 3, dedicated to random things like food, blogs, etc.

Cleansers: I've tried several cleansers over the year, and the clear standout is Corpa Flora Beaute Divine. It melts away my makeup, emulsifies with water, and leaves my skin super clean and soft. It doesn't hurt that it's also a Canadian brand.

Toners: Not sure what it is about the Andalou Illuminating Toner but for the price, it's unbeatable. It smells of fresh oranges, moisturizes, refreshes, and brightens my skin.

Masks: The Pretty Ginger & Cypress Soothing Mask (not pictured) has been a favourite since I transitioned to natural products. It smells lovely, helps draw out impurities, and calms any redness. Since my next fave works great alone and mixed with Pretty, I had to include it as well. Manuka Honey has helped my skin in so many ways. It brightens, moisturizes, calms redness, and helps clear acne and acne spots.

Facial Oils: There were three can't-live-without oils in 2014; *Sea buckthorn (I now use the SBT brand), tamanu (I now use some other brand), and Corpa Flora Eclate Citrouille. All three of these oils, alone and mixed together, work incredibly well to combat acne, dry skin, uneven skin tone, acne scars, and redness. Eclat Citrouille especially gives me a beautiful glow, Love, love, love!

Shampoo: It's no surprise here, Organic Matter Level 1 Shampoo. I love this stuff so much. It works as a shampoo/conditioner (for my hair anyway), never irritates the dermatitis on my scalp, leaves my hair and scalp clean, smooth, soft, and shiny. It's also Canadian!

Conditioner/Treatment/Styling Product: I only use *Myra Aso 100% Marula Oil This is my everything oil. With one drop, it styles, smooths, and conditions my hair.

Body Wash & Soap: I love the Deep Steep range, and their body wash is the best that I've tried. It lathers well, smells nice, is affordable, and leaves my skin well nourished. Honeydew Spearmint is my favourite scent. For soap, local company On A Branch Soap has blown me away. With no palm oil or canola oil, their soaps feel, smell and leave my skin feeling incredible. Lavender Oatmeal and Winter Chai are my faves.

Body Scrub: I'm not a huge fan of body scrubs, even though I've experienced some amazing ones this year, like Organic Bath Co. and Nyl, and much prefer using them on my hands. For an all over body exfoliation, I like using my Merben Sisal (medium) hand held dry brush.

Hand Cream: I've loved many hand creams this year, but the standout due to its affordability and performance is definitely Andalou Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream. It moisturizes, smells nice, and soothes my ezcema prone, dry, and irritated hands.

First Aid(?): As you can see, I wasn't sure what to classify this product as but it definitely needed a mention. The NBW Healing Balm has been a major favourite this year. I use it on ezcema patches, dry skin, cuts, and irritations. It quickly heals and soothes whenever applied and I can't be without it.

September 2013 Faves!

It seems lately I've been going through phases. One month I won't have any new faves to share with you and the next I have nothing but new products. This month is no exception! I have a bunch of new products that I've been loving and can't wait to share with you. Reviews to come. Guess this is a bit of a spoiler post though eh? :).

*SBT Seabuckthorn Day Cream - This stuff is fantastic. With the weather changing, my skin has been a little parched and this day cream has really helped restore hydration and help my makeup go on smoother.
*Corpa Flora Beauté Divine Camellia Facial Cleansing Oil - I don't normally go for cleansing oils because a bottle of plain oil (coconut, jojoba, apricot kernel, etc) works just as well and costs much less, BUT this stuff is sooooooo good. It removes makeup beautifully, rinses off easily, smells nice, and leaves my skin soft.
*Corpa Flora Ã‰clat Citrouille (night serum/oil) - Ahhhh I adore the smell of this product! I apply it after cleansing and toning, at night, and wake up with plump and nourished skin.
*Purelygreat Women's Citrus Cream Deodorant - I didn't think this would work and there's definitely things that I don't like about it, but this keeps me stink free virtually all day. AND, and it smells like fruit loops! Will be testing it out on my sun vacation in a couple of weeks, that will be the true test.

*Pure+Simple Organic Bringraj Hair Oil - I've had this bottle for a little while now and with the weather cooling down, I've just started to use it again. It helps with my scalp dermatitis and leaves my hair silky smooth. I've been using it once a week, leaving it on overnight, and washing it out in the AM.

*Delizioso Skincare Organic Body Oil in Passion Fruit - review here - I still don't like the smell of this oil and that's why I only use it from the waist down, but I do love how nourishing the oil itself is. It leaves my skin silky smooth!

Pretty Skin Savior Body Oil -  Love, love, love. This is one of my favourite lines ever and this body oil has no disappointed me. The oil is infused with oatmeal which makes it very soothing for eczema prone and sensitive skin. I've been using it on my upper body and don't have one negative thus far.

*Graydon All Over Soap - This is a soap that can be used on your body and/or hair. I've tried it as a body wash and shampoo, but I love it as a hand soap most of all. Doesn't dry out my hands and smells lovely.

*Pure Anada African Gold - review here - I love this stuff. I apply it to dry patches on my face and body at night and used some in a recent DIY body butter. It's truly a must have for Fall/Winter.

Tassi - This was sent to me by the lovely Alexis, The Green Beauty Bunny, and I have been using it ever since. It's a wide towel-like head band that you use to keep your hair out of your face, brilliant! I use it to wash my face morning and night, and to apply makeup. Seriously, I friggen love it so much! I need to try and find them in Canada so that I can have a backup. Thanks so much Alexis!

May 2013 Faves!

I skipped out on doing an April faves post because I was finishing up some products and really had nothing exciting or new worth mentioning. This month, however, I have a few honourable mentions.

DIY Clay mask - I do have a post on my mask concoction, however, I've been changing it up a bit. Instead of using toner to mix the clays and honey, I sometimes used (and still use) Raw ACV (apple cider vinegar) and pass on the neem. Either way, I was using this mask at least 3 times a week to help draw out impurities from the heavy, HD and waterproof makeup that we were using in the makeup course I took.

Honey - With all the makeup and washing my face so frequently last month, I loved applying honey every other morning on my face and just leaving it on for 10 - 30 minutes.

Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body Oil - review here - Such a beautiful, beautiful oil! It smells lovely, feels lovely, hydrates lovely, it's just lovely and I've been really enjoying it.

Bee 23 Hotty Body Balm - review here - I stand by my bees knees comment, it's amazing. I was using the Weleda body oil all over, but decided to use it on the bits that need firming and this balm everywhere else. Moisturizes like a dream!

Weleda Skin Food - review here - I carry this in my bag at all times, in case you couldn't tell by how banged up it looks. Wonderful for dry patches on your body and face. A definite love and must have of mine.

Pure+Simple Face Colour in Glow - review here - Shocking right? Love this blush so, so much. If you follow me on Twitter, then you know mine actually shattered. P+S were kind enough to send me a new one but, I've been using my broken one because there's no way I'm tossing that baby out.

Ilia Lip Conditioner in Arabian Knights - review to come - I do have a review coming, promise! This is the most beautiful and perfect berry shade. I reached for it all of May..well..since I got it really!

Gabriel Brow Pencil in Russet - review to come - This is my first natural brow pencil and it's great. My brows are pretty dark but I hate using a dark brown pencil because I don't want them to appear darker, just fuller. This taupe-ish shade is perfect and so natural looking.

Olie Biologique 004 Hydrating Oil - review to come - I got sent this to try out and while it's basically Argan Oil, which I can't use on my face, it has been amazing in my hair. I apply it on dry hair to smooth away any frizz and keep my ends conditioned. Oh and it smells lovely!

March 2013 Faves!

Last month, I didn't do a faves post mostly because I had nothing new to talk about. This month I have a bunch of new favourites to share. Be forewarned, I haven't even done a review on some of the items mentioned but I will.

Hair Care

Badger Seabuckthorn Antioxidant Hair Oil - review here - My scalp and hair just drink up this oil to reveal beautiful, luscious locks and a healthy, happy scalp. It's so nourishing and rich and amazing and I love it and you should go out and buy it and I'm done saying and. I think a 2nd grader could of written a better sentence. I've been absolutely loving it this month.

Skin Care

Homemade Makeup Removing Oil Cleanser - no review - I made this oil cleanser because I wanted to make use of the oils that I had sitting around. It removes my makeup so nicely and has been aiding in keeping my skin clear (I think). It's literally 3 parts apricot kernel oil, 1 part castor oil and chamomile (to calm) and lime (to brighten) essential oils. I don't enjoy the scent but it doesn't linger. I'll do a full DIY/review soon.

Weleda Baby Calendula Face Cream - review here - I literally reach for this cream when my skin is dry, irritated, breaking out or just angry in general. It's my go to moisturizer.

Camocare Organics Instant Radiance AHA Lifting Peel - no review - This stuff smells like straight up lemon vodka. Please refrain from drinking. I use it only a couple of times a week, at night only, because it tingles and burns but it does make my skin look brighter and dries up any acne that I might have. I have been really enjoying it this month.

Dr. Alkaitis Nourishing Treatment Oil - no review - omg this stuff smells absolutely amazing!! It's like walking into a health food/natural store but better. I love using this on my face, morning and night, for extra hydration. The full size is $80, so I'm clinging to this for dear life lol.

Dr. Alkaitis Eye Cream - no review -  This eye cream is moisturizing and I find that it does help with fine lines. It's like an instant eye lift when first applied, sadly the effects don't last. Maybe they do, I haven't been using it long enough to notice an obvious difference. It works great under makeup, doesn't irritate my eyes and I literally need a tiny, tiny amount for both eyes.

 Makeup

Ilia Lip Conditioner in Arabian Knights - no review -  My boyfriend bought this for me and I have been wearing it every single day since receiving it. It can be applied as a wash of colour, built up or layered. It's hydrating and just a gorgeous colour that I can see myself using in any season.

MarieNatie Lip Gloss in Nearly Wild - review here - These glosses taste like cinnamon and sugar, so delicious! I love applying this over any lip colour to add some shine and moisturize my lips. MarieNatie is going to be at the Green Living Show in Toronto and I plan on picking up a couple of lip glosses.

Pure+Simple Blush in Glow - review here - I think it's obvious that I absolutely love this blush colour. If not, then it will be now! I apply this on it's own or over the next fave because it's just gorgeous.

The All Natural Face Cream Blush in Touch of Rose - review here - This was my least favourite cream blush from TANF because the shade didn't match what was on their website, however, it is now the blush I reach for daily. Let me explain. This is not really a blush, it's more of a highlight than anything. I like using this on no makeup days to give my skin a dewy appearance/finish and I love layering it under Glow for the same dewy finish. I call this the "make your skin glow" blush. Love it.

Physicians Formula Organic Wear Bronzer & Blush - review here - I have been using the bronzer side of this duo for months as my crease colour. It is the perfect matte brown shade to use with any look.

Real Techniques Buffing Brush - no review - How did I live without this brush for so long?! It works fantastic for buffing mineral makeup into the skin and for cream blush. I love it and will do a full review of the RT brushes soon.

January 2013 Faves!

I've spent most of this month trying to finish things up that have been sitting around begging to be used and tossed. I've also started school, so makeup hasn't been much of a priority. This will be an extremely lame favourites post but I promise February will be more exciting since I'm playing with new products.

Here's what I've been loving, it's all skin care *blushes*...

Lush's Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser - review here - New favourite cleanser. It gently exfoliates and softens.

Tamanu Oil - review here - My review is for Shea Terra's Tamanu, but the rubber and oil were reacting causing rubber to get into my oil. I took it back to where I bought it and switched it for the Aura Cacia version. It works amazing and I love the pump bottle.

Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil - review here - So hydrating and balancing!

Badger Cocoa Butter Lip Balm - review here - Creamy, delicious and great for softening chapped lips or maintaining soft ones.

All four products have been keeping my skin (and lips) soft, hydrated and blemish free.

December 2012 Faves!

I've decided not to do a 2012 favourites list because I have tried and fallen in (and out) of love with so many products and while some have been consistent, many have not.

Here is what I have loved this month...

Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel Toner - review here - I have fallen in love with product again! It's so gentle and does a great job of cleansing/removing excess oil, makeup and cleanser.  I have added some lavender and clary sage essential oils to help with acne, balancing and soothing and really love the mix.

Evanhealy Lavender Facial Tonic Hydrosol (sample size) - review to come - Enjoyed this toner while it lasted and used it for the whole month of December.  It was a favourite of mine but not something I will be purchasing the full size of.

Eminence Apricot Whip Moisturizer (sample size) - revew here - I love this moisturizer and am still considering purchasing the full size once this sample is used up.  It smells nice, hydrates beautifully and doesn't irritate or break out my skin. Been loving it!

Tamanu Oil - review here - My original review was for Shea Terra's Tamanu oil but there was a little problem with it.  The oil was reacting with the rubber of the dropper and black rubber was getting into my oil.  They were nice enough to get me in contact with the manager of Healthy Planet (where I purchased it) to get it exchanged.  I didn't end up getting the Shea Terra one for fear of the same thing happening so I picked up Aura Cacia, it works exactly the same.  It's hydrating and great for healing any cuts, acne, burns, etc.  I love this oil!

Apricot Kernel Oil - no review -  I picked this up to make my own serums but have been loving it to remove makeup and as a facial moisturizer.  It absorbs and hydrates the skin beautifully without any negative reactions.  One of my new fave oils!

Hugo Naturals Vanilla & Sweet Orange Shower Gel - review here - I have been alternating this with my Hugo Soap all month long and really enjoy it.  Smells wonderful and cleanses without drying out my skin.

Kiss My Face Whenever Shampoo - review to come - This was a complete impulse buy which I'm glad happened because it's fantastic.  If I use it on it's own, it can be a drying to my scalp.  I find it works best when I alternate or even mix it with my JM because it cleans my hair and scalp without being drying.

Zuzu Luxe Mascara - review here - Okay, I LOVE this mascara.  I have already purchased another one for when this one runs out or dries up.  I originally didn't enjoy it but since purchasing a new eye lash curler, I can't live without it! It makes my lashes so long and thick, doesn't flake or smudge and lasts all day. It's fantastic and I will continue repurchasing.

Everything in December has been a new love except my Tamanu Oil and Apricot Moisturizer.

What have you loved this month?  Any new or old loves?

November 2012 Favourites!

I know that I didn't do an October Favourites, mostly because I didn't have anything new to share but this month is a whole new ball game! I have been trying, using and rediscovering some new things and old things, you know how it goes.  I just love favourite posts/YouTube videos, it's fun to see what others are enjoying.

For my face, I've been loving...

Coconut Oil and Tamanu Oil - Both provide the perfect amount of hydration and help heal and prevent acne.  I have yet to do a review of Tamanu Oil but will soon!

Eminence Apricot Whip Moisturizer - review here - This is literally the only moisturizer that I can use in combination with a facial oil and not feel or look greasy.  It provides a great base for makeup and hydrates any dry patches.  It also smells absolutely delicious!

Antipodes Lip Balm - review here - a-freakin-mazing balm for dry lips and cold weather!! Omg, I am obsessed and must apply this every morning and night.  I'm literally scared of losing it so I keep it by my bed side instead of in my purse.  It has been soothing my lips and making them kissably soft *puckers*.

For my hair, I've been loving...

Sukin Purifying Shampoo - review here - I didn't originally like this, I thought it was super drying but....I've changed my mind.  I added several drops (15-20) of lavender essential oil and find it to be more moisturizing.  It's been in rotation with the next product.

John Masters Zinc & Sage Shampoo - review here - mmmm, still love the cupcake scent.  This has been wonderful and I've been loving it this month.  It soothes my scalp and leaves my hair so soft.

John Masters Citrus & Neroli Detangler - review here - I really enjoy this lightweight conditioner for when I need a little extra moisture after using JM's Zinc & Sage.  I won't use it all the time, but my hair has it's days.

Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap in Eucalyptus - review here - I've purchased and used this soap in peppermint, citrus, tea tree and eucalyptus (most recent).  Eucalyptus is by far my faveeeee scent of all.  I add a couple of drops of it to my body wash, shampoo, hand soap, use it to wash my most stinky bits (feet and pits) and just love how it smells and wakes me right up.  I've been meaning to make a bathroom cleaner and hand soap with it but am using up what I already have right now. When I end up doing that, I will post a DYI.

Coconut Oil - see above - I have been using this on my hair and scalp a couple of times of week to help with my seborrheic dermatitis.  I put it in, tie my hair up, and sleep with it.  In the morning I take a comb and gently remove any flakes from my scalp (as you would on a baby with cradle cap).  It's been working like a dream.

To moisturize my body, I've been loving....

Weleda Skin Food - review here - This stuff is great! I use it on my hands and feet before bed, as well as dry areas on my face (nose).  It works like a dream and is a must have for winter without a doubt!

Shea Terra Bourbon Vanilla Whipped Shea Butter - review here - Love, love, love, LOVE! It smells so good and hydrates so beautifully without feeling greasy.  I use it every single day after I shower.

I'm haven't tried too many new things in terms of makeup.  One item is completely new and the other is something that was in a kit I got with my Sephora beauty insider points in the summer.  I will be experimenting with some new makeup soon (shadows, liners, etc) though.

Tarte Park Avenue Princess Bronzer - no review - I didn't review this or the set that I got it in for some reason.  I honestly have no clue what was even in the set but this is a mini size of the bronzer.  It's shimmery and could definitely be used to highlight but I have been using and loving it to contour as well as add a little luminosity to my face as a whole.  I won't purchase the full size because I think this will last me for a long time + by the time I'm finished it, I'll be wanting to try something else lol.

Alima Pure Foundation in Warm 2 - review here -  HG foundation! I use it alone or over concealer and it totally neutralizes any redness that I have.  I will definitely be picking up another colour come the warmer months.

Pure+Simple Blush in Glow - review here - I am literally obsessed with this colour and wear it practically every single day.  It's such a beautiful raspberry pink colour that (I think) looks fantastic on me.  Gives me that cold weather natural rosy flush.  I mentioned it in my September faves, it was also in my October faves (which I didn't do) and now this month!  It will likely be my favourite blush until I finish it lol. Go pick it up!

September 2012 Favourites!

My first favourites post, woohoo!  I have been loving a few things and just had to share.  Favourites are always a good way to update your previous reviews without actually making changes to them I think.

Skin care is up first:

Ginseng Facial Scrub Cream - review here - I love this stuff so much and haven't felt compelled to try any other scrub. I mix in a little with my cleanser in the AM and it leaves my skin feeling gorgeous!

Pure+Simple Calming Cucumber Mask - review here - this has been my go-to for calming and hydrating my skin. I actually didn't think it was, or going to become, an essential part of my routine but I need this product in my life. It is so awesome and I will be purchasing once I run out.

Pure+Simple Lactic Acid Plus - review here - I am still obsessed with this product. I apply it almost every night to help clear up or prevent break outs, smooth my skin, lighten scars, you name it this does it. It's a HG item for me without a doubt.

Pai Rosehip Bioregenerate - review here - Wonderful, what else can I say?  I love how hydrating it is and how it makes my skin look and feel when I apply it and when I wake up.

As listed above

Makeup - Lip Products:

Alima Pure Lip Balm (swatches below) - review here - I still think there is a hint of stale peanut in terms of taste BUT I have fallen in love with these balms.  They are hydrating and add a nice hint of colour to your lips when you want a little but don't want to apply lip stick or a stain.  I have been reaching for both colours.

MariaNatie Lip Gloss - review here - I really enjoyed these glosses when I first tried them and I still really enjoy them.  While the lack of colour is disappointing, I love putting them on top of the Alima balms.  It adds a beautiful glossy layer and tastes delicious!

Top to Bottom: Rhubarb and Mango

Makeup - Face Products :

Pure+Simple Blush - review here - While I didn't actually review the colour below (Glow), I did declare my love for Pure+Simple blushes.  I have been reaching for this colour every single day since purchasing it and continue to do so.  I feel this is going to be my favourite every month until I use it up.

Sante Face Powder -review here - I wish there was a bit more coverage in this product but am enjoying it.  It's great for setting makeup as well as for wearing on it's own when I'm way too lazy to do my entire face.  It offers a semi matte finish and just slightly evens out my skin tone.

Tarte Cream Shadow - review here - I love using this on my lid but have been using it all month long as a highlighter! Don't you just love discovering a new use for a current product? I do!  This is great on my cheek bones, just under my brows, down my nose, inner corners of eyes and cupids bow.  Love, love, love this thing.

Pure+Simple Blush and Sante Face Powder

Tarte Cream Shadow
