Disappointed: The Body Deli Firming Flax Eye Cream Review

Back in March, I ordered a couple of things from Saffron Rouge. One of them being this very promising eye cream which a few of you were interested in knowing about. I love a good eye cream, I mean, we show the first signs of aging around our eyes. Seeing as I don't use an anti-aging face cream or anything, it's important for me to invest in a good eye cream. I do have fine lines around my eyes and I notice when I wake up, from having my face in the pillow, the lines take even longer to disappear than I remember. Ahh getting old, gotta love it!

Description: High levels of phospholipid rich Lecithin fortifies the sensitive tissue, firming omega fatty acid rich flax seed oil, carrot and pomegranate supply abundant levels of nutrients to feed the skin. See fine lines and wrinkles begin to diminish with resveratrol red wine extract and tissue strengthening lecithin. Omega-3 essential fatty acids also provide the eye area with the correct balance of nutrients and moisture. Look years younger with regular use.

The anticipation is killing you isn't it? I'm a little disappointed in this eye cream. Don't you just hate when there's so much hype over a brand or product and it doesn't work for you? The ingredients are fantastic and the size of this mini is great considering you only need a tiny amount for both eyes, but I don't find it delivers on it's promises. I have been using it faithfully for over a month and see no difference in the appearance of my fine lines whatsoever. It's very light in texture, yet still very hydrating. So much so that I think it's given me milia. It does absorb and work well underneath makeup/concealer, and it's a great little size to travel with but it's not for me. I won't be purchasing the full size.

Retails for approx. $20 CAN for 5ml (mini) and $55.25 for 30ml (full size) on Saffron Rouge.

Have you ever tried The Body Deli?

  1. I hate buying products and then not using them. I have SO MANY full jars and bottles. Thankfully, my husband does not mind finishing them up for me :)

Will you go back to Pai Echium? That is my favorite one.

    1. You lucky gal, my bf won't touch some of the stuff I use lol. I'm pretty good with finding other uses for products, unless I can't use it at all, then I give it away.

Not sure if I'll go back to Pai just yet. I have a couple of samples to try still but Pai's eye cream is pretty awesome. Xo

  2. Sorry to hear this didn't work out better! I've been liking the Pure + Simple eye cream, though I've only been using it for about a week. I can't speak to long term results yet, but so far so good!

  3. Hello hello! Thanks for this honest review.. I think is very important to write reviews about products that we are not very happy about or just got a bit disappointed..it's a big shame about this eye cream..

  4. I also bought the mini size of this product from Saffron Rouge and HATED it! I have sensitive eyes and wear contacts, and this burned my eyes. I was anticipating it too, since Living Nature's Firming Flax Serum (not the eye cream) works like a charm as an eye cream for me. I'm using the Body Deli stuff on my neck, even though it's not a problem area for me...yet :p

    1. it burned?! That's awful! Silver lining is that you found another use for it lol. Living Nature products definitely intrigue me but I've only ever tried their cleanser. xo

  6. What a bummer! On the bright side, at least you didn't purchase the full size. I had good luck with the Own eye cream, but I don't know if you can get that in Canada.

  7. Hey you need to try Skin Apotheke's eye cream, it is hands down the BEST eye cream I have ever used and you only need a very tiny bit, I got a jar it lasted me about 15 months and my super sensitive eyes are always hydrated without feeling greasy/wrinkled. I also have had no need for a consealer ever since I started using it. You can get it on Etsy, and if you want something special you should check out Ubtan, I think Radiance Ubtan will be good for you, it is TO DIE FOR!!
