I love this oil so, so, so much. The scent is sweet, but very light. If you're sensitive to scents, don't worry, this doesn't linger and it's not overwhelming by any means. I love the tinted glass bottle because it's reusable and the tint preserves the oil better but, of course, it's a little heavy to travel with. The dispenser isn't quite a dropper, it's easy to pour too much but easier to pour less than if it wasn't there. Did that even make sense? I hope so because I have no idea how to explain it. As you can see from the pictures below, this oil has a very light yellowish/orange colour and absorbs beautifully into the skin. Doesn't leave me greasy at all, just soft and well nourished the entire day. I still have dry patches (elbows, knees, etc) which I have to use a body balm on. In terms of it improving the firmness of my skin, I'm not sure. I haven't noticed a difference and Lord knows I could use some...or lots of...firming. Is this the world's best body oil? Maybe, I haven't tried many. Is it an oil worth indulging yourself in? Hell yes! I have already purchased a backup for myself and I'm not even half way through my first bottle.
Retails for approx. $30 CAN for 100ml. Can be purchased at most health food stores and through Weleda. I bought mine on sale at Whole Foods for $17.99 CAN (both of them).
Have you tried any of the Weleda Body Oils?
Oooh, glad you got this review up. I reallllly want to try it. I can't help kind of having a collectors mentality, I want to try all of the Weleda oils because I tried the hair oil and really like it.
ReplyDeleteIt's so beautiful! There's a kit with all of the body oils you can try as well.
DeleteI got the Essential Kit with all of their oils and love them all! I usually mix them with other moisturizers. They are lovely. I read a review one time that said that Weleda's products are generally addictive. That is true! xx
ReplyDeleteI've honestly never thought about trying the sample kit even though I always tell my friends to. I like the idea of mixing them with a moisturizer, thanks for that. It's true, they are sooooo addictive! xo
DeleteThat sounds lovely! Seems like it'd be a really nice self-indulgent treat.
ReplyDeleteIt so is!
DeleteI've actually been eyeing this up for a while, so I'm so glad I've come across your review! The scent sounds absolutely lovely and its great that it's not greasy at all - definitely thinking of purchasing this now! :) x
ReplyDeletedo it, do it, do it! You'll love it. Let me know if you end up picking it up :) xo
DeleteSo glad you love it and thank you for the mention, I find it does help with firming the skin, but like any oil you really have to be diligent with application and you won't see results immediately. x
ReplyDeleteWelcome :). I'm sure once I finish my first bottle I will see some sort of results. It's true, it does take time. Thanks for introducing me! Xo
DeleteI love Weleda!!! In general! the body oils are phenomenal, and amazing as a hair oil as well!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you love them too! The hair oil is next on my list, I've heard nothing but good things! xo
DeleteHair oil what?! I'll have to check that out.
ReplyDeleteI tried Weleda pomegranate firming night cream and love the results! I don't know if it's really firming my skin, but it certainly feels great going on, smells nice, gives my skin a nice glow and doesn't cause my sensitive skin to breakout. It's pricey but I think in this case, it's worth it.
